Terms of use

Plain-English terms for Accountability Gremlin. By using the app you agree to them.

What the gremlin is (and isn't)

A planning and follow-through tool. It isn't medical, psychological or financial advice, and it isn't a substitute for professional help. If you're struggling, please talk to someone — in Australia, Lifeline is on 13 11 14.

Your rights under Australian law

Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If the service doesn't work as it should, contact us and we'll fix it or refund you as the law requires.

Fair use

Don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, use it to harm others, or use the AI features to generate anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

AI output

AI suggestions can be wrong. The app checks plans against its own rules, but you're in charge of what you do — use your judgement, especially with deadlines and anything important.

Your content

Your tasks, plans and notes are yours. We only store them to provide the service (see the privacy page).

Availability and liability

We work hard to keep the gremlin running and your data safe, but can't promise it will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid for the current period. Keep a backup of anything you can't afford to lose (Gremlin → Backup).

Changes and law

We'll update these terms here, with the date at the top, and tell you in the app about any significant change. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
